Palmer's Passages

And so it begins. I have been sending various "Palmer Updates" to folks via email, but I thought it was about time to get fancy. I figure that this way I can keep folks up-to-date on the happenings of my crazy life, without sending old-fashioned mass emails. I hope you enjoy my updates, random comments, strange sense of humor, and delightful pictures. It is my hope that Palmer's Passages will cure all known diseases, end world hunger, and bring back "Animaniacs". Enjoy.

2009 Already???

Greetings and Happy New Year!  2009 came out of nowhere, and here we are, two days into a new year.  Sure, I am excited about all the hopes and promises of a new year...I am simply shocked that it arrived here so quickly.  After all, the last time I wrote in this BLOG was in late summer!  Where has the time gone?

Well enough of that business, I suppose I should take a moment to update ya'll on what I've been up to.  Fortunately, my mom and I have finished writing a book about her life.  In December, we concluded a two-year project that has resulted in blood, sweat, and tears (literally I'm afraid).  It is a book containing her life story and the amazing journey she has been through.  We are now in the midst of trying to find a literary agent, get it published, etc.  Hopefully, God will see it through and the book will be on the shelves of Barnes & Noble everywhere.  Hey...one can dream!

I returned to Germany with Adventures by Disney in October to guide the last trip of the season.  It was an amazing time of year to be there and was one of the best trips I've had.  The leaves had begun to fall (I forgot how beautiful autumn can be) and the weather was simply gorgeous.  Here are a few amazing pics from that trip:

After concluding my second season with AbD, I moved into a new place in Santa Monica and returned to my life of auditioning and working at ol' D-Land.  I also found a unique way to earn extra cash by performing as a wicked Step Sister (something I've done once, and probably only once)...

This winter, I was contacted by the first director I ever did theatre with (back in 1996).  He asked me to co-star in a Christmas play with him this December.  The show was called "Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some)," and it was a three-man show that basically covered...well...every Christmas story ever told.  We had a lovely time, I had 30 costume changes in the 90-min show, and it was great way to bring in the holidays.  Here are a few pics:

Now that 2009 has begun, I shall simply wait and see what a new year brings.  Will I book a big gig?  Will I go back to Europe this summer?  Will I end up applying for Grad School?  Will I move to the jungles of South America?  Will I take up Under-Water-Basket-Weaving?  Time will tell.

In the meantime, may you have a blessed and happy 2009 and here's to many wonderful adventures ahead!
