Palmer's Passages

And so it begins. I have been sending various "Palmer Updates" to folks via email, but I thought it was about time to get fancy. I figure that this way I can keep folks up-to-date on the happenings of my crazy life, without sending old-fashioned mass emails. I hope you enjoy my updates, random comments, strange sense of humor, and delightful pictures. It is my hope that Palmer's Passages will cure all known diseases, end world hunger, and bring back "Animaniacs". Enjoy.

Coconuts are tropical!

"It's not a question of where he grips it. It's a simple question of weight ratio. A five-ounce bird could not carry a one-pound coconut." - Robin, from Spamalot

My journey continues as I have now been called-back twice for Broadway's Spamalot. The first callback was for the role of Sir Lancelot and now I am being considered for the role of Sir Robin (which I think is the best role in the show)!

Truth be told, I would not be this far along if it were not for the grace of God. I've been sharing with friends how I always viewed Broadway as an impossibility in my life. I had secretly dreamed of one day doing a Broadway show, but never thought I'd get the chance. Well, God has a way of making things happen that we cannot. I've always believed that He would provide the path for my career as a performer, and perhaps this is one of the ways He has chosen to do so. Perhaps not.

I try not to get too excited about this opportunity, but that would be like telling a child not to be excited about Christmas morning. I only pray that this be God's will, and if it is not, then I look forward to whatever grand opportunity He has in store. He never ceases to surprise and amaze me.

Aside from the Spamalot front, I seek any prayers on my mom's behalf. Her right arm/elbow has taken a turn for the worse, and with very few options from the doctors, we are turning to God's grace and mercy for help. We look forward to the day when God will heal her and end the physical suffering she's endured for so long. In the meantime, we pray for relief and strength and I thank you all for your long-time prayers! :)

I'll keep you posted on the Spamalot goods and I hope that I will get the chance to see some of you in the near future. If you'll be visiting a theme park this summer, chances are I work there. Otherwise, feel free to swing by Santa Monica sometime...friends are always welcome!

"Beautiful bird, the African swallow...lovely plumage."
