Palmer's Passages

And so it begins. I have been sending various "Palmer Updates" to folks via email, but I thought it was about time to get fancy. I figure that this way I can keep folks up-to-date on the happenings of my crazy life, without sending old-fashioned mass emails. I hope you enjoy my updates, random comments, strange sense of humor, and delightful pictures. It is my hope that Palmer's Passages will cure all known diseases, end world hunger, and bring back "Animaniacs". Enjoy.

The Land of Limericks and Leprechauns!

Greetings once again!

As I mentioned in my previous post, my time in Ireland has been wonderful. We get the chance to experience the warm Irish culture, gaze at the awesome countrsyide, and be immersed in a land full of a hard past but an optimisitc spirit.

We've received our share of rain, but if that is what takes to keep the island so green, then bring on the rain! We took our guests on a bike ride through the Killarney National Park last week and a small "monsoon" hit at that time. Needless to say, we were soaked, but many of us enjoyed the adventure and the hard-core nature of it all.

I left for Ireland at age 24 and came back one year older...the time change does a number on ya! It was great to celebrate my birthday traveling from the coastside of Inch Beach to then reside in the extravagant Dromoland Castle. Sleeping in a castle is always a nice way to celebrate being 25!

After taking a week to rest and experience the always-amazing SoCal weather, I depart for Ireland once again on the 16th. I've been asked to remain out there until the end of the season, which means I'll be back in the states on September 24th. I could think of worse places and worse ways to spend the summer! :)

So, enjoy your summer and I hope to speak with many of you upon my return in the fall...if not sooner. In the meantime, here are some pics from my second tour:

(From Left to Right, Top to Bottom: The Rock of Cashel, an Abbey in Cashel, Irish Cheese-Tasting, a Celtic Cross, Irish Countryside, the Cliffs of Moher, Me and the Killarney Town Crier, My Birthday Pose, My New Best-Friend and I in matching hats)

Many blessings,

Palmer
